1. Travel Card / documents that confirm the details of your trip.
- These documents serve as evidence of the agreement between passengers and Satun Pakbara Speedboat (Langkawi) Sdn. Bhd.
- The documents include details about the trip such as specifications and conditions of the fee, as well as the terms and conditions of the contract between the passenger and Satun Pakbara Speedboat (Langkawi) Sdn. Bhd.
- Passengers who have paid the fee will receive these documents and details.
2. Fare rate
The fee only covers the service of transporting passengers from the departure port to the arrival port and back. It does not include any on-land transportation except for those passengers who have purchased tickets that include land transfer, as available on the website. We cannot be held responsible for passengers who travel to destinations not covered in the provided information.
Children under 2 years of age (24 months since departure date) can travel with adults by sitting on the lap of the accompanying adult.
3. Tax and fee
Taxes and fees must be paid to the government. If not stated otherwise in the provided information, customers are responsible for paying them on their own and they are not related to Satun Pakbara Speedboat (Langkawi) Sdn. Bhd.
4. Exchange rate
Customers are required to pay the fee as well as any additional service charges that are indicated on the website.
5. Booking the ticket
- Customers' tickets will be confirmed once they have paid the fee and Satun Pakbara Speedboat (Langkawi) Sdn. Bhd. has provided confirmation documents. Please note that tickets cannot be cancelled or refunded.
- For group bookings, please contact Satun Pakbara Speedboat (Langkawi) Sdn.Bhd. for further information.
- If passengers wish to change or cancel their travel plans, they must do so at least 48 hours before the scheduled departure time. Any changes made within 48 hours of the departure time will not be allowed. Customers must pay a fee specified by Satun Pakbara Speedboat (Langkawi) Sdn. Bhd. to make such changes, subject to the specified conditions.
- In the event that the company cancels a scheduled trip due to bad weather eg. Warning of bad weather, storm and boat suspension by the Meteorological Department and the Marine Department from both Thailand and Malaysia or any other reasons, we will immediately contact affected customers. However, we cannot be held responsible for such changes and any resulting concerns.
Nevertheless, we will provide you with the following options:
A. Travel at the same time and on the same route when possible.
B. Use your payment for the cancelled trip towards a future trip.
C. Offer you an alternative trip without charging a fee for the changes.
Please note that Satun Pakbara Speedboat (Langkawi) Sdn. Bhd. will adhere to the specifications provided above and reserves the right to change them without prior notice.
6. Fee payment
The full fee must be paid upon booking a ticket, and confirmation must be received before boarding the ferry. The company reserves the right to cancel the trip before ticket booking or check-in and will not be held responsible for any inconvenience caused. Customers will not be allowed to board the ferry without prior confirmation of their booking.
7. Personal Data Consent
Before proceeding with booking a ticket and confirming travel arrangements, you will be informed and required to consent to the use of your personal data provided to Satun Pakbara Speedboat (Langkawi) Sdn.Bhd. The data may be used for various purposes including booking and confirming travel arrangements, improving customer experience, facilitating immigration processes, managing accounting and audits, and ensuring safety and compliance with the local laws. Additionally, providing credit card information will enable us to contact you in the future and facilitate future transactions (if any).
By consenting, you also allow us to share your data with authorized third-party companies and government agencies involved in ferry travel services or related businesses.
8. Seatings
Passengers can choose their own seats on boats operated by companies that do not have seat restrictions.
B. For travelling another country ( go aboard ) such as Langkawi , Koh Lipe passengers must check in before travelling at least 1.30 hour.
C. If you can’t confirm by yourself to the staff of the company for booking the ticket.
D. If you don’t have the correct document.
E. If you don’t pay full money or the fee for the Satun Pakbara Speedboat (Langkawi) Sdn.Bhd.
F. If you harm the staff of the company at the counter service, or speak to look down on the staff.
G. If the government don’t allow you register for confirm travelling by ferry or Speedboat.
H. If the Boat company agrees to you shouldn’t travel because you are so drunk.
I. If the company sees that you are not suitable by the doctor’s reason that may be dangerous to another passengers.
9. Travel Registration, Confirmation, and Conditions
The check-in counter will open for registration before departure 1-2 hours in advance. Passengers must check in within the specified time frame.
Satun Pakbara Speedboat (Langkawi) Sdn. Bhd. is responsible for ensuring compliance with the following specifications and conditions:
A. Passengers must check in at least 30 minutes before departure for travel from Pakbara to Koh Lipe.
B. For travel to another country, such as Langkawi or Koh Lipe, passengers must check in at least 1.5 hours before departure.
Passengers will not be allowed to board the boats under the following:
C. If passengers are unable to confirm their bookings with company staffs.
D. If passengers do not have the correct documents.
E. If passengers have not paid the full fare or fees to Satun Pakbara Speedboat (Langkawi) Sdn. Bhd.
F. If passengers verbally or physically abuse staff at the counter service.
G. If the government prohibits passengers from traveling by ferry or speedboat.
H. If the boat company determines that passengers are too drunk to travel.
I. If the company determines that passengers are not fit to travel due to medical reasons that may endanger other passengers.
10. Boarding the boat
Passengers must check in at the counter service at least 90 minutes before departure for Route Langkawi – Koh Lipe. Boarding gates close 5-10 minutes before departure. Late passengers will be prohibited to board. In such cases, passengers will not receive a refund or be allowed to reschedule. However, in some cases, the boat staff may allow late passengers to board at their discretion.
11. No shows
Passengers are to be punctual. If you are late, you will not receive refunds.
12. Sick/ Pregnant passengers
If you are pregnant or feeling unwell, please inform the boat staffs before travelling.
13. Service charge & fees
The fees charged do not include the cost of food and drinks, which is a separate service. Smoking is strictly prohibited on board all boats and ferries operated by the company.
14. Travelling on the same date as your flight
We are not responsible if passengers arrive late for their flights. We do not recommend booking ferry tickets on the same day as a flight. We advise you to book a taxi in advance to ensure you reach the airport on time after disembarking the ferry.
